KRISTY KEELEY

Hello!
Welcome to my portfolio for my 2017 summer internship at Structural Plastics Corporation (SPC) in Holly, MI. This online portfolio is designed to showcase my work for the JRN 404 Capstone course.
The JRN course was my final required internship. I am majoring in Communications and minoring in Advertising. I will graduate in May of 2018. Currently, I plan on returning to SPC in the fall for further work in the marketing department.
During the 12 week internship I created blog directives, videos, personas and other projects as the marketing intern. Please click through to see all of the projects I completed and the amazing experience I had this summer at SPC!
Enjoy! :)

My Work
You must be wondering, what is Structural Plastics Corporation?
Structural Plastics Corporation, SPC, is actually comprised of three sectors: SPC Retail, SPC Industrial and PolyGrate. The company manufactures and sells plastics products created from recycled plastic materials. The products for retail include displays, shelving, and custom units for retailers such as grocery stores or convenience stores. SPC Industrial creates plastic shelving as well. These shelves are designed to aid in the organization of industrial plants. SPC Industrial further sells flooring and products designed to assist in ergonomics, safety for manual workers. Finally, PolyGrate produces plastic tree grates used for sidewalk safety and tree containment.
The company reaches a multitude of clients with the products, from large chain garden centers to single retail outlets. Their main goal is to create design pieces that help their buyers solve a problem.
SPC strives to be a solution for display, safety, and durability needs.
